Today in our blog: Team Kukouri Co-op's practical tips, part 1, by Tino Kangasmuukko, Graphic designer

When you handle pictures, fonts and logos, there are few things to keep in mind. Never distort fonts and pictures. Same goes with logos. This means that the proportions stay the same when you're changing the size.
Here's a few tips for the users of Word and Photoshop on how to keep the proportions original. In Word, the easiest way to avoid failure is to grab the picture from the corners, not the sides, when scaling the picture. With Photoshop, you get the same result by holding the shift-key down while scaling. When scaling Bitmap-pictures, you should also try to avoid making them larger than the original and if you must make a small picture larger, you should remember the 30% rule, which means don't scale the picture beyond 130%, if you do the quality will suffer and the picture will pixelate.
